Woman dies of injuries after head on collision in Huntsville

Even if drivers obey all of the signals, signs and traffic laws, it does not guarantee they will not be involved in a motor vehicle accident. Often, people in Jasper, and other localities, are involved in auto accidents that are the result of another motorist’s actions or negligence. These types of collisions, like others, can result in the deaths of drivers who were safely operating their vehicles.

This appears to have been the case in a fatal car accident that occurred in Huntsville recently. According to reports, a 54-year-old woman was seriously injured when her vehicle was hit head-on by another car. She was reportedly taken to the hospital, where she ultimately succumbed to her injuries. The driver who is believed responsible for the crash also sustained serious injuries, news sources reported. However, no additional information was disclosed regarding that motorist’s condition.

According to reports, the auto accident appears to have been caused when the other motorist crossed over the median and into oncoming traffic. The motorist who allegedly caused the accident purportedly lost control of the car. The decedent, authorities reported, may not have had time to react to the wrong way driver because of a semi truck that was in front of her prior to the crash. While the tractor-trailer was able to swerve out of the way, law enforcement reportedly believes the large vehicle likely prevented the woman who was killed from seeing the approaching danger.

Families who suffer the loss of a loved one in accidents caused by another driver’s negligence could be entitled to financial compensation. Working with an attorney can be one way for those who have experienced situations such as this to understand their rights for taking legal action.
