Tuscaloosa County trucking accident leaves two drivers injured

Each day, numerous commercial vehicles travel the streets and highways of Alabama, hauling their loads. With so many large commercial vehicles spending so much time on the roads, it is not uncommon for trucking accidents to occur. These types of collisions can be caused by any number of factors, including truck driver fatigue, poor road conditions, weather and vehicle disrepair. Regardless of the cause, accidents involving tractor-trailers can have a range of consequences, including serious injuries and, in some cases, death.

According to reports, two truckers suffered injuries resulting from a truck accident that occurred in the early morning hours in Tuscaloosa County recently. Neither man, it was reported, suffered life-threatening injuries. There were no additional details released regarding the types of injuries the drivers sustained, or their conditions, but they were both transported to a local hospital.

The wreck reportedly occurred around mile marker 68 on Interstate 20/59, but there were no specifics detailed regarding how the crash occurred. It remains unknown to the public at this time what factors may have contributed to the large commercial vehicles colliding, as well as which, if either, driver was responsible for causing the crash.

It is not uncommon for it to take a significant amount of medical treatment, rehabilitation and time for a person to recover from injuries resulting from a truck accident, which can lead to lost wages and medical expenses. Anyone in a situation such as this, who wants to learn more about his or her rights for seeking compensation, may find it helpful to seek legal counsel.
