When motorcyclists in Jasper, and other localities, are involved in auto accidents, it is common for them to come off of the their vehicles. Not only can the ejection itself cause serious injuries, motorcycle operators are also at risk of being run over by other vehicles, or crushed by their own. Due to the serious injuries, including a head injury or broken bones, which can result from motorcycle accidents, victims may require extensive medical treatment and rehabilitation for even a partial recovery.
According to reports, a motorcycle operator was run over after being hit by another vehicle in Kansas City, Missouri, recently. The 26-year-old motorcyclist was also dragged, but it is unknown at this time for how far. Very little information was reported regarding what may have caused the motorcycle accident, however, it was reported that the motorcycle operator had a green light when he the collision occurred. These types of collisions are often caused by factors such as a distracted driver, speed or motorcycle unawareness.
The motorcycle operator was reportedly critically injured and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. No additional information about the rider’s injuries or condition was reported, nor was there any indication as to the motorcyclist’s prognosis for recovery.
